I was studying for finals when I all of a sudden had a friend send me a message on facebook, depicting a video he wanted to share with me and discuss when I had the chance. It is the video described above.
I would sincerely like your thoughts once you watch it.
I made it 14 minutes and 33 seconds into the video and I am afraid I am just not into his sermon. If there are points in it you would like me to address you'll have to list them because as it is, I've not heard him say much, so far, that requires commentary or thought.
ReplyDeleteSo far, for me, it's been OK you're telling me a story to which I presume will reach a point.
I've lost interest at this juncture.
You'll have to highlight what you want me to look at in written commentary at this point.
OK, today I listened to the other twenty minutes. You made it clear it was important to you and although I had all I could muster yesterday, I had some things to do at the computer and thought--let it play and I'll listen.
ReplyDeleteHere is what I gather.
He seems like a nice, well meaning pastor.
Other than that, I seriously don't know what sort of commentary you are looking for or why you didn't just sum up his thoughts and offer the video as a supplemental if we needed an unfiltered version.
As to his advice about being more accepting of gays and offering grace -- to me that's a no brainer.
And as you know, unlike some of your friends, I don't see homosexuality as a sin.
